SUNDAY GENTLE YOGA (DONATION CLASS)
All money collected will go to pay organizations and individuals that are black, indigenous or people of color to counter the economic inequity that lies in the current capitalist system. 5 PM eastern Donations always appreciated, never required. Join Andrea for an accessible practice to connect with your breath and release from your day, and start your week. Poses will include laying on your back and belly, hands and knees, seated and standing. If any of these positions do not feel luxurious, variations will be offered. Make this practice your own, be with your breath. Class runs one hour. |
MONDAY YOGA FOR EVERY BODY
HATHA
6 PM eastern
$5 to $20 sliding scale (no cost spots available).
This is a Hatha yoga class for every BODY! If you ever thought yoga wasn't for you, this is your class. If you ever felt uncomfortable in a yoga class, this class is for you. We will make yoga fit your body, not the other way around. This class will make yoga accessible no matter what fabulous body you have. Learn the use of props and modifications to connect body and mind. Beginning Yoga class focused on finding appropriate adaptations to suit every Body. You'll discover ways to access poses you thought were not for you- and gain body confidence and skill while having fun in a relaxed and supportive environment. Class runs one hour.
HATHA
6 PM eastern

WEDNESDAY CHAIR YOGA FOR BALANCE AND STRENGTH
10 AM eastern
$5 to $20 sliding scale (no cost spots available)
Chair yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair is used for support during standing and balance poses. This is perfect for people who have difficulty getting up from and down to the floor from a standing position or would love a seated practice.
Class runs one hour.
10 AM eastern
$5 to $20 sliding scale (no cost spots available)

WEDNESDAY "NO KNEES" YOGA
6 PM eastern
$5 to $20 sliding scale (no cost spots available)
In this Hatha class we will link our breath to movement in different asanas but we will never be kneeling. We also will take a look at each pose with knee health as a consideration. We will do seated (either in a chair or on the floor, your choice) and standing poses. There will be options to lie on the floor but that is not a requirement (it never is in any of our classes).

Andrea DiMaio (she/her/hers) is a yoga instructor with her 200 hour level teacher training through The Himalayan Institute of Buffalo. She is also a Yoga For All certified instructor and an Accessible Yoga Ambassador. Andrea and Ample Movement are also part of the "body positive fitness finder" by SuperFit Hero.
