Heather Mae

In 2025, Mae released WHAT THEY HID FROM ME and kiss & tell, a groundbreaking double album project that marks a bold return after years of transformation. Both records dive into the pain of unlearning, the fire of self-discovery, and the freedom of living with whole-hearted authenticity. Brought to life by an all-women and nonbinary creative team in Nashville, the albums signal a powerful shift in both sound and structure for the ever-evolving SONGWRITER.
But in each of her evolutions, Mae’s commitment to shifting the industry’s gender imbalance is a foundation, not a footnote. Every sound, story, and show is a declaration of belonging—of what’s possible when historically sidelined voices are given the reins.
Mae’s songs are a love letter to the misfits, an effervescent affirmation for the weary, and a dauntless refusal to be erased. For anyone who’s been told to quiet down, Mae’s music is both a fist in the air and a hand holding yours through the fray.
With every show and every chorus, she reminds us: we’re still here, we’re still loud, and we’re not going anywhere.

Discover
Being told by society that your body size, or color, disability or queerness is not welcome in the outdoors is something we have heard our whole lives.
Discover that you are welcome, you are enough and you are ample. You are not wrong, society is. |
Community
The reason I created Ample Movement is to hold space for people that hold marginalized identities. This group is for us to all hold each other up and create a place where we all belong.
|
Representation
The more of us that get out there and hike, backpack, bike, do yoga and all of the other things, the faster change will come. We're here to represent more diversity in the outdoors so that the outdoors becomes more diverse.
