This class is designed for true beginners and anyone who wants to revisit the basics of yoga. Maybe your body has changed due to aging, injury, or something else. This is a space to learn how to work with your body as it is, today. Whether you're brand new to yoga or you've practiced before and want a supportive space to deepen your understanding, this class will help you build confidence, strength, and ease in your movement.
We'll break down common yoga poses with a focus on making them work for your body. Expect options, props, and lots of encouragement to explore what alignment, stability, and comfort look like for you. You'll also learn how to adapt poses so that you can walk into any yoga class and feel grounded and comfortable knowing you can make any pose work for your body.
You can practice from a mat on the floor or from a chair, whatever works best for you. If getting on the ground isn’t accessible, this class is still for you. We'll all be practicing together, each in the way that works best for our own bodies.
You do not need to be flexible, strong, or experienced. This class is truly all-levels, with a special welcome to those who’ve never thought yoga was for them.
Come as you are. All bodies, all abilities, and all levels of experience are welcome.
